New project: analysis of water consumption profile at the Paranapanema Water Resources Management Unit

July 17, 2019

RHA Water and Environmental Resources Engineering will execute another project for the Brazilian National Water Agency (ANA). In consortium with the engineering consulting company Engecorps, we will develop the analysis of water consumption profile and the estimation of the industrial effluent loads at the Paranapanema Water Resources Management Unit.

The Paranapanema River, a direct tributary of the Parana River, is part of the natural division between the Brazilian States of São Paulo and Paraná. Its drainage basin, with an estimated area of 105k square kilometers, englobes 247 municipalities and 212 urban aglomerations, and presents a population of over 4.68 million inhabitants, predominantly urban. In this sense, the outcomes of this contract are essential for the sustainable management of water resources at the Paranapanema river basin, a highly urbanized and industrialized region in Brazil.
